Web design · Brand + Web
Small business web design that sells while you sleep.
Brandtropic is a remote agency that designs and builds small business websites for companies in the United States and Canada. Every site is mobile-first, fast, built to turn visitors into leads, and set up from day one to show up on Google and in ChatGPT’s answers. Hosting and SSL included; your team can edit it.

What you’re paying for
The Brand + Web package, line by line. You don’t touch anything technical — and you can still edit your own site.
- Your full brandLogo system, colors, type and guidelines, so the site looks like you from the first screen. See what a brand identity includes.
- Site designPages planned around what your customers ask and what you want them to do next, designed mobile-first and shown to you before we build.
- SEO, AEO and GEO from day oneTechnical SEO, structured data and AI crawler access built in, so Google can rank the site and assistants like ChatGPT can recommend it.
- Hosting and SSLHosting and an SSL certificate, set up for you. The padlock is there on launch day, and nobody on your team has to learn a server panel.
- Lead captureForms that log every inquiry with its follow-up, so nothing falls through between chats, inboxes and sticky notes. On the bigger packages they land straight in Brandtropic System, our CRM.
- An editable siteHanded over on a platform your team can manage, with a short walkthrough so you can change text, images and posts without calling us for every edit.
- Your filesDesign source files and every export are yours. Nothing stays hostage.
They look around. Then they leave.
“People land on my site, look around, and leave without writing.” It is the most expensive kind of website problem, because you already did the hard part: getting them there. A site designed to convert, not just to be pretty, fixes three things.
Mobile first
Many of your visitors will meet you on a phone, in a line, with one thumb. We design that screen first: short sections, text you can read without zooming, a button the thumb can reach, and a phone number or form that works on the first tap. The desktop version grows from there, not the other way around.
Fast
A slow page loses people before the headline loads. We keep pages light — compressed images, no pile of plugins, clean code — and check them against Core Web Vitals, the speed and stability scores Google uses to judge a page.
One clear next step
Every page answers one question and asks for one thing: call, book, request a quote. The first screen says what you do, who it’s for and where, in five seconds. Proof — your work, your process, straight answers to common questions — sits right where doubts show up, not three clicks away.
That’s what “a site that sells while you sleep” means in practice: it explains, answers and takes the inquiry at 2 a.m., and the lead is waiting for you in the morning.
Built to show up on Google and in ChatGPT
A beautiful site nobody finds is a brochure in a drawer. Search is built in from the start, not bolted on after launch.
More and more people ask an AI instead of typing into Google, so your site has to work for both. From day one we set up the foundation: clean indexing and sitemaps, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, Schema.org structured data for your business, services and FAQs, and a robots.txt that lets AI crawlers like GPTBot and PerplexityBot read your pages.
Then the words: service pages that open with the direct answer, FAQs written around the questions your customers actually ask, and the same name, services and location everywhere, so an AI can tell your business apart from everyone else. Here is how SEO, AEO and GEO work.
Nobody can honestly guarantee first place on Google or a mention in ChatGPT — they decide their own results. What we make sure of is that, when they look, there’s a site they can read, understand and trust.
How a website gets built
A project with a closing date, from a few weeks to a couple of months. The design is rarely what slows it down — the content and the approvals are.

The pages, the question each one answers and the action it asks for. Your content and material gathered in one place.

How much does a small business website cost?
From a few hundred dollars a year to $25,000 and up. Here is what changes the number.
We don’t publish fixed prices. Each site is quoted in three tiers — Basic, Mid and Heavy — sized to how many pages you need, how much content already exists, whether you need a full brand first, and what the site has to do: inform, book or sell. You get a clear proposal before you commit: what we’ll build, what it costs and how long it takes.
For reference, this is what the US market charges:
| Option | Typical range | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| DIY site builder | A few hundred dollars a year | A template you set up, write and maintain yourself |
| Freelancer | About $1,500–$8,000 | One person’s design and build; search setup and hosting vary |
| Studio or agency | About $5,000–$25,000 | A team for design, build and launch |
| Custom development | $25,000 and up | Software built from scratch for complex needs |
| Brandtropic (Brand + Web) | Quoted in three tiers: Basic, Mid and Heavy | Brand, site, SEO, AEO and GEO from day one, hosting and SSL |
Ranges are indicative market figures, not Brandtropic prices. Canadian providers usually quote in CAD. US clients are invoiced in USD; Canadian businesses, see how we work with Canada.

How much does a small business website cost?
We don’t publish fixed prices: each site is quoted in three tiers — Basic, Mid and Heavy — with a clear proposal first. For reference, US freelancers usually charge about $1,500 to $8,000, studios and agencies about $5,000 to $25,000, and custom development starts around $25,000.
How long does it take to build a small business website?
From a few weeks to a couple of months. The design is rarely what slows a site down; the content and the approvals are. If your text and photos are ready and one person on your side can sign off, it moves fast.
What does the Brand + Web package include?
Your full brand, the site design, SEO, AEO and GEO from day one, hosting and an SSL certificate, plus forms that capture every lead. You don’t touch anything technical.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Yes. We hand it over on a platform you can manage, with a short walkthrough so your team can change text, images and posts without calling us for every edit.
Will my website show up on Google and ChatGPT?
It will be built so it can: fast, crawlable, with structured data, AI crawlers allowed in and pages that answer real questions. Nobody can guarantee a position, because Google and the AI companies decide their own results, but a site they can’t read never shows up.
I already have a website. Do I need a new one?
Not always. If your current site is fast and editable, it may only need work on the content and the search setup. If it is slow, can’t be edited or hides its content from crawlers, rebuilding is usually cheaper than patching, and we will tell you which case you are in before you spend anything.
Who owns the website files?
You do. The design source files and every export are yours, and fonts are licensed to your name where the license allows it. Nothing stays hostage.
